Shift Production Supervisor I am pleased to work exclusively with one of the world's largest chemical manufacturers. With plants across the globe, their Cork facility specialises in producing chemicals integral to the development of new, advanced, and more sustainable electric technologies. Due to their success, they seek a highly technical Shift Production Supervisor to oversee a team of operators, manage EHS-related activities, and ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background. They are a great company to work for and have very low staff turnover. I was onsite last week, and everyone I met was so lovely. Ensure effective communication and coordination within the team. Monitor daily work operations and provide direction to the team to achieve unit or departmental goals. Oversee daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Monitor and optimise production processes for quality and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly. Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and standards. Conduct regular EHS audits and risk assessments. Organize and lead safety training sessions for the team. Maintain up-to-date documentation related to EHS activities. Responsible for all safety-related training Requirements Good knowledge of production processes and EHS regulations. Automation experience is desirable but not essential. 5 years experience working in a technical production environment (e.g. Heavy industry - Refinery, Chemical, Oil & Gas, or Bulk Pharmaceutical) A Level 7 in a Bachelor of Science/ Engineering or relevant qualification, Excellent problem-solving skills and technical acumen. Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency in using relevant technical and production software.
