This position is based in our Waterford site, on a 4 cycle shift pattern. Duties and Responsibilities Provide technical guidance on both mechanical and controls related issues to ensure personnel engaged in operations\maintenance activities have sufficient knowledge to perform their assigned tasks Document issues and fixes in technical shift hand-over document to capture mechanical and controls issues and actions Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools to review and analyse data for uptime, yield and performance and lead actions to improve key business metrics Attend shift Tier meetings, and lead daily technical actions relating to equipment performance Liaise with Manufacturing team to coordinate resources in alignment with priorities Co-ordinate the execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities on shift Fault-finding \ troubleshooting of equipment and process issues. Work with Line Engineers to identify and eliminate repetitious machine failures and action key performance detractors Support NC/CAPA or other Quality investigations as appropriate Implement improvements under change control. Present, where appropriate, technical data to internal/external audit and inspection groups. Ensure Health and Safety Regulations and Procedure are adhered to always for self and others. Develop relevant engineering documentation including work instructions, SOPs, validations & engineering studies Requirements Level 8 Engineering degree desired Electronic or Mechanical preferred Relevant experience in Area 9 is desired Relevant experience in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment Prior Six sigma experience preferred Good problem-solving abilities able to identify facts, consider alternative approaches and evaluate the most appropriate action Experience of developing a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic software controls, and automated vision systems Project Management & Vendor Management experience desirable Experience working in a validated medical device/pharmaceutical environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
