Site Engineer – Apartment Construction Projects €50,000 - €70,000 Permanent Dublin – Ireland About Us My client is a leader in the construction sector across the heritage, commercial and residential sectors. Having began there journey as a joinery contractors they have now grown to become a multi-disciplinary company within the construction industry. They have just had a number of new projects signed of to start imminently for residential apartments, and social housing across Dublin. To cope with the high demand they are looking to take on a number of site engineers that have previous experience in the residential, commercial and heritage sectors Job Description * managing parts of construction projects. * overseeing construction work. * undertaking surveys. * setting out sites. * checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly. * supervising contracted staff. * ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales. * liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authority employees, architects and other professionals, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager. * providing technical advice and solving problems on site. * preparing site reports and logging progress. * ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to. Qualification and Skills * A MSC degree in the relevant sector (desired) * At least 5 years’ experience in similar roles * Commercial awareness. * Teamworking and relationship-building skills. * Communication skills. * Technical skills. * An eye for detail. * The ability to solve problems and think on your feet. * Project management skills. * Awareness of building and health and safety legislation
