Job Description

Site Engineer required for educational project in Wicklow, Ireland, to manage site activities, ensure quality control, and provide technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Assist the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day management of the site.
  • Site Supervision: Supervise and coordinate site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Surveying: Conduct site surveys, set out works, and ensure accurate dimensional control.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed records, including site diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on site.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project progression.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in educational or commercial projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of surveying equipment, Auto CAD, and other construction software.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Certifications: Valid Safe Pass and manual handling certificates.
