Ratio Recruitmentis working with our client, a well known cement company, to hire a Site Engineerto join their team in County Cavan. As Site engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the on-site aspects of all surfacing projects, ensuring they are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently to a high-quality standard. Collaborating closely with the Contracts Manager and Supervisors, the Site Engineer will coordinate works, measure and agree quantities of product and ensure high quality workmanship and standards. This is a permanent positionand our client is offering an excellent salary for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Plan, supervise, and coordinate works on site, ensuring compliance with H&S requirements Manage staff, monitoring performance against programme. Optimise usage of company resources including manpower, plant, and resources. Monitor progress and report daily activities in line with works schedule. Measure works on site to enable pricing & Support with the preparation of Tenders Provide day-to-day engineering/technical guidance on site, identifying and addressing potential or actual technical problems. Communicate requirements to all relevant personnel i.e. Health & Safety, Batching Plant and Transport Ensure compliance with companys Safety Management Systems and Procedures, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Requirements: Third Level Qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Minimum of one years experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering industry Experience in road surfacing industry would be advantageous Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on groundworks.
