A leading main contractor seeks a skilled Site Engineer to provide technical support on construction projects in Cork City, Ireland.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Site Engineer to join our team in Cork City. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support on construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting Out: Utilise surveying instruments to accurately set out building lines, levels, and infrastructure on construction sites.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring construction work meets design specifications and industry standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to on-site teams, addressing and resolving engineering-related issues.
  • Construction Planning: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and implement construction plans, considering project specifications and timelines.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Site Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including as-built drawings, survey data, and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination of construction activities.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and AutoCAD.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer.
