Job Title: Site Engineer Location: Galway, Ireland Sector: Construction Type: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Company: We are recruiting for a well-established construction contractor known for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Ireland. They are seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on an exciting new development in Galway. Key Responsibilities: Setting Out: Ensure accurate setting out and surveying of all site activities, including foundations, structures, and utilities. Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of quality control measures, ensuring that work meets design specifications and industry standards. Coordination: Liaise with project managers, site foremen, subcontractors, and other key personnel to ensure efficient workflow and progress. Site Supervision: Provide technical guidance on construction methodologies, ensuring safe and effective execution of work. Health & Safety: Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff and subcontractors. Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings, daily reports, and material orders. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any engineering or construction challenges that arise on-site in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements: Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience as a Site Engineer on construction projects, preferably within residential or commercial developments. Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficient in setting out using GPS, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and construction standards. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Problem Solving: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
