Site Engineer (Mechanical & Piping) - 100 MW Gas-Fired Power Plant (Athlone) Location: Athlone, Ireland Contract: 12 Months Green Transition Partners (GTP) is collaborating with a leading international EPC contractor to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer with a Mechanical & Piping background to join their team on the construction of a 100 MW Gas-Fired Power Plant in Athlone. About the Role: As a Site Engineer specializing in Mechanical & Piping, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and piping systems within the power plant. Your technical expertise and hands-on approach will ensure these critical systems are implemented to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the installation of mechanical and piping systems on-site. Interpret and implement mechanical and piping drawings and specifications. Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements. Coordinate with subcontractors and resolve technical issues. Monitor progress and report on project milestones. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry, with a focus on mechanical and piping systems. Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping codes, standards, and regulations. Experience in power plant construction or similar heavy industrial projects is preferred. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities. Experience with gas-fired power plant construction or similar projects is desirable. Familiarity with Irish construction regulations and safety standards. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
