Civil Foreman- Galway Our client are one of the most experienced tarmacadam surfacing contractors in Ireland. The business has steadily expanded over the years and now carries out all aspects of Civil Engineering works including drainage, lighting and ducting. They are currently seeking a Civil Foreman for a roads project in Galway valued at €1million. Responsibilities -Supervise and manage all aspects of civil construction projects in Galway. -Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets. -Lead and mentor construction teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle. -Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations on-site. -Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones efficiently. -Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact timelines or quality. -Ensure quality control measures are implemented to meet project standards and specifications. Qualifications: - Proven experience in civil foreman roles, with a track record of successfully managing construction projects. - In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials used in civil projects. - Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate and motivate construction teams. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents accurately. - Health and Safety certification is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving construction-related challenges. - Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
