Job Description

The Project Lead-Capex Engineering is responsible for managing the site Capital Program, ensuring the approved portfolio is delivered to the approved deliverables, with an annual portfolio value of approximately €17M.

This role requires a strong understanding of governance and compliance, aligning with global standards and requirements in both Engineering and Finance. The site capex manager is also responsible for leading a cross-functional team of engineers working across two sites, and sits on the site ELT (Extended Leadership Team).

The site capex manager is accountable for updating the financial performance of the capital portfolio, including Assets Under Construction, Impairment, OPEX, CAPEX, and Headcount management. They also provide coaching and support to team members and site peers on capital approval documentation and facility investment planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the site Capital Program, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of approved projects.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers working across two sites, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Develop and maintain the site Facility Investment Plan, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to regulatory inspections and interact with auditors as necessary.
  • Assist in preparation of large-scale project estimates, ensuring alignment with site objectives.
  • Ensure the team adheres to all EHS requirements, being a role model for issue resolution and ensuring investigations are executed to the highest standard.
  • Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards, ensuring data integrity, QA, and QC requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role in enterprise pharma manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver per annum capex portfolios of 10 million euro and above.
  • Degree level qualification in engineering.
  • Proven skills in communication and presentation of case studies, briefs, and proposals at all levels of an enterprise-level manufacturing firm.
  • Significant and recent EHS experience.
  • Proven ability to manage the needs of the individual and collective at the enterprise level.
