Our client, a well-known building contractor, is recruiting an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction of various civil projects in Cork. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day activities of the site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise site operations, employees, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage and deliver project programmes and procurement needs in conjunction with the procurement and QS teams
- Maintain accurate documentation on site, including the management of the health and safety file
- Ensure the project meets the agreed scope and maintain the highest standards of health and safety
- Communicate project updates through relevant channels
- Oversee quality management on site, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager, delivering a range of civil projects
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly beneficial
- Attention to detail to ensure projects meet quality standards
- Ability to manage programme, procurement, and quality effectively
- Strong health and safety management skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Analytical and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
