Job Title: Site Manager Location: Cork, Ireland Sector: Residential Construction Type: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Company: We are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction contractor, known for delivering high-quality residential projects across Ireland. With a growing portfolio in the Cork region, they are looking for a Site Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale housing developments. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a key leadership role within a company that values quality, safety, and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Take charge of day-to-day site operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of residential construction projects, from groundwork to completion. Leadership: Lead, coordinate, and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors and site personnel, to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard. Health & Safety: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety compliance, ensuring all site operations follow Irish construction safety regulations and company policies. Programme Management: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring key milestones are met within agreed timeframes and budgets. Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring that all works meet required specifications and that any issues are identified and resolved promptly. Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or changes. Problem Solving: Identify potential issues on-site, offering proactive solutions to keep the project on track and minimize delays or disruptions. Documentation: Ensure all site records, including progress reports, health and safety documentation, and material requisitions, are accurately maintained. Requirements: Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality developments. Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. A trade background will also be considered. Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate large teams. Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Irish building regulations and residential construction practices. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively, ensuring that all aspects of site operations are under control. IT Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and basic IT systems, such as Microsoft Office.
