Site Manager Location: Kildare, Ireland Company Overview: Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team. Known for their commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency, the company works across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, residential, and fit-out and refurbishment building projects. Role Summary: The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing various construction activities, including health and safety, quality control, site logistics, and employee relations. The role involves supervising subcontractors, forepersons, and other site personnel to achieve project production targets. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Health and Safety: Manage and enforce the companys health and safety systems and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times. Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to quality control measures. Site Logistics: Plan and manage site logistics, including set up, security, deliveries, and traffic management. Supervision: Supervise subcontractors, forepersons, and other site personnel to achieve production targets. HSEQ Systems: Manage the companys Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) systems and procedures. Construction Programme: Work alongside the Project Manager to adhere to the construction programme, effectively sequencing finishing trades to maximise quality and minimise rework. Resource Monitoring: Monitor resources, labour, plant, site set-up, and other overheads to ensure project efficiency. Site Set-Up Planning: Plan and manage the initial set up of the site, including all necessary arrangements for a secure and efficient working environment. Employee Relations: Foster positive working relationships with all site personnel, addressing any issues promptly and effectively. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on site progress, issues, and resolutions. Requirements: Minimum of 7 years site management experience in commercial, industrial, residential, and fit-out and refurbishment building projects. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality control procedures. Excellent organisational and logistical planning skills. Proven ability to supervise and lead a diverse team of subcontractors, forepersons, and site personnel. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive working relationships. Experience working alongside project managers to ensure adherence to construction programmes. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage resources efficiently.
