Site Manager Job Description
Our client, a large building contractor, requires a skilled Site Manager to oversee a residential building project in Limerick, Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a proven Safety Management System on site
- Implement a Quality Management System on site
- Suggest changes to increase the overall efficiency of the building process without compromising Safety or Quality
- Work to an agreed programme and plan future works to avoid delays
- Plan, maintain, and control the financial administration of all construction work to achieve maximum cost effectiveness
- Requisition materials required on site in time and to the correct specification
- Attend meetings to ensure efficient communication of all issues affecting the day-to-day running of the site
- Organise daily whiteboard meetings
- Manage day-to-day onsite activity
- Prioritise workload
- Communicate effectively and solve problems proactively
- Have a proven track record in a similar role
Requirements:
- 3+ years site management experience
- Experience on commercial and residential building projects
- Able to see projects through from concept to completion
- Previous experience working for a main contractor
- Relevant third-level degree is beneficial but not obligatory
