Job Description
Site Manager for large-scale healthcare construction projects in Waterford and Cork, responsible for overseeing and managing on-site construction activities.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all construction activities on-site to ensure timely completion of the project.
- Manage daily operations and ensure adherence to project timelines and schedules.
- Monitor and control project costs to stay within the budget, reporting any discrepancies to the Project Manager.
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with design specifications, building codes, and regulations.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and other technical consultants to resolve design and technical issues.
- Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Manage site staff, including subcontractors and laborers, ensuring that they are adequately resourced and working efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope.
- Address and resolve any on-site conflicts or disputes quickly and effectively.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on healthcare construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
