Job Description

Experienced Site Manager sought for 9-month project on brownfield site in Ratoath, Co. Meath, overseeing construction process, ensuring quality workmanship, and meeting project milestones.

Our client, a respected general building contractor, requires a Site Manager to lead a team of tradesmen, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver a high-quality project on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work is conducted efficiently and according to project specifications.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, manage timelines, and report on key project metrics to ensure milestones are met.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety policies, including risk assessments and site inductions.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards expected by our client by supervising all aspects of the work, ensuring materials and craftsmanship meet specifications.
  • Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet expectations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and ensure the project remains within budget.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve issues or delays on-site to minimize disruption to the project schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Site Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial and residential projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and project management.
  • Experience managing teams of tradesmen, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience with brownfield site projects.
  • Knowledge of construction management software.
  • Strong administrative skills.
