Role Overview: Join a growing team securing both leading-edge protection solutions and enterprise infrastructure. As a Site Reliability Engineer, a part of the SDC Operational Support Systems (OSS) team under the Security & Distributed Cloud organization, you will ensure all infrastructure is functioning properly and securely to support the business operations and F5 products and services. This position requires the ability to analyze, lead project development, troubleshoot and resolve technology issues, configure and maintain systems, and support a variety of industry-standard tools and proprietary software systems. Sounds interesting? Read on! What You’ll Do: Maintain a strong customer focus in providing services, at times conferring with vendors, partners, and clients. Oversee the administration of the corporate network, including compute layer, storage layer, and network layer. Develop new strategies and technical procedures to increase global team collaboration, improve operational efficiency, enhance workflow, and improve customer satisfaction. Ability to create new technical solutions, improve existing designs, and modify and test software tools. Capable of comprehending, analyzing, and troubleshooting highly complex systems and production processes. Experience with ticketing systems and service level agreements. Support on-call rotation for urgent escalations. What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information Technology or 2+ years of relevant experience required. Technical skills with MacOS and Linux operating systems, Kubernetes, docker, and containerization experience. Possesses solid understanding of network design, performance, security and able to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple communication protocols, networks, and operating systems. Experience with at least one software configuration management system (Puppet, Ansible, Nomad, Terraform). Automation and scripting experience in at least two disciplines (Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible, Golang). Administration of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or equivalent public cloud infrastructure. Extra points for related certifications. Self-starter with ability to balance a sense of urgency against measured thinking and attention to detail in coordination with best practices and team/corporate guidelines. Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with system users and other technical colleagues. Knowledge of FedRAMP, SOC2, PCI, BC/DR or other related security and compliance frameworks. Experience with OpenVPN, routing, SAML, Okta and Fortinet administration.
