Job Description
A site reliability engineer with a strong background in automation and operations will play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams dedicated to delivering high-availability AWS services in the EU.
- Oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud in 2025, working closely with global AWS teams and influencing the evolution of AWS services and technology.
- Collaborate with technology leaders to enhance day-to-day operations, ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
- Ensure scalable services and a high-availability experience for EU customers.
- Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents occurring out-of-hours.
Key qualifications include:
- 3+ years of experience in software development or related field with proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Experience with Linux, using the command line and basic administration, and computer networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, load shedding) and experience with monitoring frameworks.
- Experience with scripting operating system tasks and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience operating services in AWS.
