Company: Our client is a leading market player in the delivery of popular ready-made meal solutions across the island of Ireland and is recognized for its continuous rollout of innovative products. Their business supplies into the retail, food service, and airline markets within which it has been successfully expanding its market share. Opportunity: The Site Service & Maintenance Manager will lead a multi-skilled maintenance service for all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. This role enhances site effectiveness, improves project delivery, reduces downtime, and implements improvement plans while ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing efficient operation of facilities and machinery, performing preventative maintenance, and managing breakdowns, making this position vital to the progress of the manufacturing and processing industries. Responsibilities: * Develop and implement maintenance schedules, strategies, procedures, and methods for installation and commissioning guidelines. * Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize unexpected equipment issues. * Respond to alerts and operational messages, executing corrective procedures and repairs according to SOPs and maintenance protocols. * Document routine checks and required repairs following internal and external protocols and procedures. * Maintain logs of any downtime within the manufacturing system. * Train production staff on routine maintenance procedures. * Conduct routine maintenance work and address equipment faults. * Diagnose and resolve breakdown problems. * Install new parts and ensure equipment operates correctly. * Perform quality inspections on maintenance jobs. * Collaborate with client departments, customers, and other engineering and production colleagues. * Arrange procurement of specialist fixtures, fittings, or components. * Manage maintenance tools, stores, and equipment. * Monitor and control maintenance costs. * Handle emergencies, unplanned issues, and repairs. * Enhance health and safety policies and procedures. * Work with specialist equipment that controls machinery on factory assembly lines. * Ensure continuous coverage of machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns. Candidate Requirements: * Business skills, including budget management and supplier liaison. * Strong IT skills. * Exceptional attention to detail. * Ability to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures. * Leadership and motivational skills. * Teamworking skills to collaborate with individuals at all levels. * Negotiation and persuasion abilities. * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. * Confidence to respond positively under pressure. * Effective people-management skills. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. * Knowledge of the food industry is an advantage.
