We are hiring a Head of Supply Chain to join the embecta Plant Leadership Team at our Dublin manufacturing site. Reporting directly to the Plant Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational procurement and planning, vendor relationship management, complex negotiations, logistics, and customs compliance. You will also be responsible for the Graphics, Master Data, and Business Excellence subject matter experts. You will lead the team to ensure that all materials and processes meet the highest standards of quality and cost-effectiveness to ensure support of the production of our Pen Needle and Safety Pen Needle injectable devices. This is a critical leadership position, requiring strategic oversight and hands-on management to ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and productivity standards. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: Act as the key liaison between the plant and the wider supply chain network to ensure accurate communication of market demand and timely feedback on plant-related issues. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations related to warehousing and distribution. Collaborate with the Global Supply Planner to define production volumes by SKU and develop annual manufacturing schedules. Oversee the procurement of all raw materials and supplies to meet production schedules within budgetary constraints. Track and manage production performance, making adjustments to schedules as needed to minimize backorders and optimize throughput. Ensure warehouse operations are maintained at a world-class level, adhering to all relevant quality, safety, environmental, and customs standards, including FDA and ISO compliance. Oversee customs compliance, including managing inward processing, Revenue reporting, AEO authorization, and facilitating Revenue audits. Work with the global procurement team to meet cost, quality, and performance targets for supplier management. Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing the risk of obsolescence and ensuring raw materials meet production demands. Lead the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team and drive improvements in business processes across the supply chain. Manage the full spectrum of purchasing activities, from purchase order generation to vendor payment, in partnership with the Accounts Payable team. Establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with vendors, ensuring both commercial and quality objectives are met. Education and Experience A degree or relevant third-level qualification in a related field. 8+ years of experience in a supply chain or inventory control role, preferably within a high-speed manufacturing environment subject to regulatory requirements. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a proven ability to drive cost reduction and improve operational efficiency. Demonstrated leadership ability, with a focus on fostering an inclusive, performance-oriented team culture.
