Position @ AMD Advanced Micro Devices, United StatesThe AMD Research and Advanced Development in Europe is a small, diverse and dynamic part of AMD that is based in Dublin, Ireland. Our team conducts cutting-edge research in pervasive and sustainable AI working on topics such as DNN optimization, compilers, and hardware architecture. Through customization and tailored solutions, we investigate how we can enable pervasive and sustainable AI with adaptive devices such as FPGAs and AIEs. We’re pushing the performance and efficiency envelope of what’s possible today to help shape the next big thing in computing. In particular, this includes training paradigms and techniques, novel hardware-friendly topologies, quantization techniques, and custom hardware architectures. Fulfilling this goal requires top talent. Thus, we are looking to enrich our team with the finest engineers with bold, collaborative, and creative personalities from universities worldwide.THE PERSONWe seek enthusiastic engineers preferably with PhD degrees in Machine Learning, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, and related disciplines. We look for a subset of the following skill sets in our candidates:Thorough understanding of compute architectures.Strong background in core concepts in neural networks and computer arithmetic.Fluent in Python, C++, and Linux shell scripting.Experience with Vivado HLS, Vivado IP Integrator, or SDAccel is a strong plus.Experience with common machine learning frameworks (Caffe, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a strong plus.Experience with hardware design in VHDL or (System)Verilog is a plus.Strong communication skills, verbal and written. #J-18808-Ljbffr
