Job Description

Seeking a SOC Analyst with 2-3 years experience for a permanent role in South Dublin.

Reporting to the regional Security Operations Lead, the SOC Analyst will defend against and respond to cybersecurity events and incidents in the client's ecosystem.

The role involves supporting users and business functions by ensuring they remain secure, working as part of a team to deliver monitoring and protection, and rolling out security tools.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years SOC experience and a strong understanding of investigative techniques and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing accurate and precise real-time analysis and correlation of logs/alerts from multiple client systems.
  • Analysing and assessing security incidents and advancing to client resources or collaborating with internal teams for additional assistance.
  • Determining if events constitute security incidents.
  • Assigning and escalating tickets in accordance with defined SLAs.

Key Requirements:

  • 1.2+ years experience in a similar type role preferably within a SOC or NOC environment.
  • Third Level qualification in Information Technology, Information Security or Engineering.
  • Relevant professional accreditations such as CISSP or similar.
