**Job Summary:** We are seeking a Social Care Worker/Autism Practitioner to support individuals with autism in our residential services in Kildare, promoting independence, autonomy, and fulfilling life experiences. **Job Description:** In Gheel, we focus on supporting individuals with autism through their life journey, enabling them to have fulfilling life experiences, while having autonomy and control over their choices and decisions. Our services include day and vocational opportunities, outreach support, and supported living options. We consider each person's unique needs, strengths, and motivations to develop a personalized plan of support. We encourage a culture of inclusivity, independence, and partnership, where individuals are empowered to make choices and decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** • Support individuals with autism in residential settings, promoting independence and autonomy • Develop and implement personalized plans of support, considering each person's unique needs and strengths • Provide outreach support and day and vocational opportunities • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of inclusivity and independence • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including assessment and progress reports **Requirements:** • Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies or relevant qualification • Experience of supporting individuals with autism and knowledge of autism • Full, clean driving license • Eligibility for CORU registration • Excellent communication and engagement skills • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team **Benefits:** • Access to Educational Support Scheme • Company pension with company contribution • Employee Assistance Programme • Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave • Up to 27 days of Annual leave • Bike to Work scheme • Training and development (CPD) • Option to join the Health Service credit union **Salary:** Successful candidates will be paid in line with the Gheel Autism Services CLG Social Care Worker pay scale, €35,216 - €50,954 per annum, based on working a 39-hour week.
