Job Description
Seeking a Social Care Worker to provide day-to-day personal care and support for residents of Delta Centre, promoting dignity, respect, and independence.
The Social Care Worker will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the life and experience of each learner reflects the core values of Delta Centre
- Reviewing and implementing person-centered plans for each learner
- Participating in regular reviews of protocols and plans of care for each learner
- Facilitating learners' needs through effective communication systems
- Assisting learners in reaching their maximum potential in independence, communication, and personal development
- Establishing trusting relationships through consistency of care
- Adhering to Delta Centre's policies, procedures, and national policies
- Encouraging and supporting community involvement
- Supporting learners to identify their future aspirations and current support needs
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care/Social Studies or equivalent field
- Registration in the social care workers register maintained by CORU
- Experience in the field of social care, particularly with adults with intellectual disabilities
- Excellent communication, record-keeping, and relationship-building skills
- A flexible and adaptable nature, with the ability to work a 24/7 shift pattern
