This position is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of our residential children's service team, where your role will involve providing nurturing care, protection, and encouragement to vulnerable or dependent young individuals, whether individually or in groups.
You will be given the opportunity to work closely with a diverse array of professionals from various disciplines and external agencies to develop customized interventions aimed at overcoming the specific challenges hindering these young individuals from remaining in their homes
Serve as a key support figure for individual young people, fostering partnerships with external agencies referred to the service by Focus Ireland.
Provide support to young individuals who have undergone trauma or exhibit challenging behaviourAdvocate for the social work, aftercare, education, training, and legal rights of young individuals.
Foster the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of each young person under our care.Maintain accurate records related to the residential unit and individual young people in compliance with legal requirements and health and safety regulations.
Encourage the active involvement of young people in decision-making processes concerning their lives, both individually and collectively.
A Third level Degree in Social Care or equivalentDemonstrated hands-on experience in a social care environment at a professional level or equivalent.
