If this sounds interesting to you, apply and come chart your own path at Amazon.To qualify, applicants should have earned a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the last six months or be on track to earn their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree prior to the role start date.Key job responsibilitiesCollaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.A day in the lifeAs you design and code solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software architecture, you’ll create metrics, implement automation and other improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects. You’ll also:Build high-impact solutions to deliver to our large customer base.Participate in design discussions, code review, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Work cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input.Work in a startup-like development environment, where you’re always working on the most important stuff.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
