North America Supply Chain (NASC) Planning & Execution org is comprised of dynamic teams that shape network planning and execution through the development and application of innovative mechanisms and techniques. Our goal is to enhance the Amazon Fulfilment network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner that is truly world-class. **Key Responsibilities:** • Use technology to solve difficult user interface and front end engineering problems; all while applying the appropriate technologies, UX patterns, and best practices. • Establishing front end related metrics to ensure performant and effective performance • Collaborating with design team on implementation, user research, responsiveness and error handling • Ensuring Accessibility standards are met and reviewed • Work with the broader team to improve alignment and reusable elements for use in all compensation products • Participate in team planning, design, scoping, and prioritization discussions. • Take defined software and UX designs and turn it into working code, using react (or similar js frameworks). • Be willing to explore business needs and learn unprompted. Bring problems AND solutions to the table. • Constantly strive to raise the bar on engineering excellence • Lead the way - staying up to date with tools, trends, technologies and frameworks both industry-wide and within Amazon and then sharing that knowledge in a meaningful way with the community. **About the Team:** NASC org focuses on scalable and automated optimization of labour and capacity planning for our fulfilment centers through direct partnership with business stakeholders and tech partners. Advocating on behalf of NACF Operations, we are the business owners of various product suites that optimize fulfilment center planning and execution. We build and manage automated and scalable solutions that are intuitive, easy to use, and effective. We are accountable to deciding 'what to build next' and surfacing effectiveness of its developed solutions through sophisticated measurement techniques. **Basic Qualifications:** • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience programming with at least one software programming language **Preferred Qualifications:** • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
