**Software Development Engineer II, NA Supply Chain** **Job Summary:** Develop innovative software solutions to drive customer experience and operational efficiency in Amazon's North America Supply Chain. Our North America Supply Chain (NASC) Planning & Execution org is a dynamic team that shapes network planning and execution through innovative mechanisms and techniques. Our goal is to enhance the Amazon Fulfilment network to drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop state-of-the-art product suites to drive Hands Off the Wheel automated optimization * Work on complex challenges in large-scale computing using data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming * Develop a deep understanding of our business and contribute to the architecture, development, and operations of software components and services * Build high-quality, architecturally sound systems that align with business needs * Leverage cutting-edge technologies in big data, optimization techniques, machine learning, real-time analytics, and high-volume, low-latency, high-availability services **About the Team:** * NASC org focuses on scalable and automated optimization of labor and capacity planning for our fulfillment centers * We build and manage automated and scalable solutions that are intuitive, easy to use, and effective * We are accountable for deciding what to build next and surfacing the effectiveness of our developed solutions through sophisticated measurement techniques **Requirements:** * 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience * 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience * Experience programming with at least one software programming language * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
