Senior Software Development Engineer, Capacity Management Technology
Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to build the software that creates plans to scale one of the world's largest and most complex networks.
About the Job
- Part of a high-bar, agile team with global responsibility for the network capacity management software used across all of Amazon
- Analyze complex and conflicting requirements, elaborating processes and designing the software to back them up
- Lead the team through continuous improvement pushing for the highest quality standards and practices
- Operate the systems you build guaranteeing availability and efficiency
- Participate in the community of AWS engineers to drive innovation, by bringing original ideas and approaches

Basic Qualifications
- Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with agile development practices
