Software Developer - €550 per day/2 Year contract (Min) Irish government organisation with responsibility for quality control has a requirement for a Software Developer to join the team at their Dublin Head office. The software developer will play a key role in the re-development of existing applications and architecture. They will also have responsibility for testing, documentation and records keeping. This role is offered on a Hybrid basis for an initial period of 2 years. With a generous daily rate, Hybrid attendance requirement (2 days per week) and an easily accessible location in Dublin City Centre (Applicants must be able to fulfil this requirement), this role offers ambitious software professionals the chance to develop their careers within a prominent branch of the Irish Public Sector. Responsibilities of Role * Provision of structured development and testing environments * Establish processes for the replication of production databases and other technical configuration requirements. * Migrating/copying existing production configurations including workflows and configuration to test environments * Verifying source code and configuration testing does not impact production. * Documenting and rebuilding the entire organisational technology stack and ensuring reproducibility of the build process. * Updating/creating key solution documentation covering Business Continuity, Application Architecture, Software Architecture, and Development and Test Strategy. * Redevelopment of Organisations Compliance Information System (CIS) - This requirement work may include updating application components and refactoring code as required. * Improving application integration with external data sources including refining rules, field mapping and testing data feeds Essential Candidate Requirements * Third level degree/Postgraduate qualification in computer Science, IT or other relevant area * 5+ years' experience as a Software Developer * Demonstratable track record of developing enterprise applications using common frameworks such as .NET, Angular and Bootstrap (Familiarity with other development technologies like Power Platform would also be very useful for this role). * Be able to integrate enterprise applications with underlying infrastructure components including active directory, networks and Microsoft web technologies. * Have previous experience developing applications utilising Microsoft database technologies. * Competent in using enterprise FTP solutions such as Globalscape or similar products. * Proficient with development management tools including Microsoft DevOps, Jira, Confluence and MS Project. * Focuses on delivery, prioritising tasks effectively and manages time efficiently. * Interacts effectively with colleagues across the organisation and external suppliers.
