Location:Shannon(onsite 4 days a week) Job Type:Permanent Job Summary The Software Development team supports a mixture of Build & Bought solutions for key Leasing Business Process elements, including Leasing, Contracting, Billing, Technical, Legal and Finance. The collection of Technical Applications includes systems for Asset inspection, Records Management, Project Management, Maintenance Claims, Asset Utilizations and Billing. The Software Developer will work on the design, development of Windows and web-based Engine Management applications, liaising with business partners and other IT team colleagues. This role also involves end user support, application design, implementation, testing and deployment. Responsibilities Interpret, solution design and correctly implement business requirements. Provide estimates of work to assist in project planning activity. Design low-maintenance, sustainable and scalable software solutions to meet business requirements. Reduce technical debt where appropriate. Liaise with peer system owners to ensure impacts are properly understood, documented, and mitigated against from an up and downstream perspective. Build solutions using established industry best practices, technologies, and standards. Work with OffShore Developers where appropriate. Complete tasks, reporting status and work assignments in a timely fashion. Support a quality first environment, develop a clean code base and work with the Test team to ensure appropriate levels of testing and timely defect management and resolution. Document work professionally. Support business users through User Acceptance Testing and assist business system/process owners with training concerns. Deploy solutons with care and contingency. Release Management, Runbook and Hypercare support and planning. Collaborate with IT colleagues from Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Test and Desktop Support. Ensure compliance with all organisational, legal, regulatory and department standards, including SOX compliance and Security. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computing or related subject. 2-4 years professional experience in a Software Engineering/Development role. Knowledge of the full SDLC. Experience working in an Agile development environment is desirable. Good understanding of cloud technologies and integration frameworks. Professional experience developing in C# and JavaScript using .NET Core and React JS. Experience with Visual Studio .NET and GIT. Experience with Relational databases, preferably Oracle. Must be a self-starter and exhibit intellectual curiosity. Effective verbal and written communication skills (Fluent written and spoken English). Experience of working with multiple applications/projects in parallel with internal and external stakeholders / third party vendors / development centres across multiple locations. Experience in Application Support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of Aircraft Leasing a distinct advantage.
