IT Software Developer

Irish Life is seeking skilled IT Software Developers to join its dynamic Digital & Technology team.

As a key player in the Digital Delivery team, you'll be instrumental in driving the strategic ambitions of the Irish Life Group.

You will develop and deliver technical solutions within a customer-centric culture, enhancing the experience and performance of digital properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging digital experiences by developing user-friendly web application interfaces that delight customers and advisors.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, UX/UI designers, QA, business stakeholders, and the wider IT community.
  • Lead the design and development of digital customer and advisor journeys on digital properties.
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities, including scoping and sizing.
  • Perform critical analysis and peer code reviews.
  • Represent the team in workshops to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Mentor and train team members as needed.
  • Collaborate with business partners and third-party vendors.
  • Challenge team standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with new skills and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building engaging digital experiences.
  • Excellent collaboration skills in a multi-disciplinary, agile team environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of frontend technologies to optimize user experience and business objectives.
  • Relevant business knowledge and data-driven problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership ability and eagerness to stay updated with the latest industry standards and technologies.
  • Influencing skills to drive best practices and produce efficient, reusable code.
  • Strong analytical skills.
