Software Development Engineer, CloudFront Routing

CloudFront Routing organization is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. We offer comprehensive relocation and benefit packages.
As part of CloudFront Routing team, you will own and run one of the largest DNS and BGP infrastructure in the world. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of core components, including Anti-DDoS, Flash traffic management, DNS Services, Anycast @scale, Availability systems and services.
- Writing documentation to get feedback and consensus from other engineers to make decisions on optimal solutions for large-scale problems.
- Picking programming languages (Rust, Java, Go, C/C++, Python) and selecting native AWS services to solve problems at Global Scale.
- End-to-end ownership of service life cycle, including ideation, design, development, building monitoring and alerting, and operationalizing services.
The services our team built have handled traffic for several million concurrent viewers during live events like Cricket World Cup, FIFA World Cup, and Thursday Night Football. You'll learn and incorporate data points to make decisions in building services for future traffic growth.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in professional software development.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
