- Design and develop features and functions to support requests from stakeholders.

About the role: As a Software Development Engineer in our Frontier Networking Team, you'll work closely with other teams to build scalable and operable software for customer-centric products. You'll create professional quality software by applying software engineering best practices and have the opportunity to heavily influence the strategic and day-to-day decisions that shape the team and our products. Our engineers require a strong coding skillset and a detailed knowledge of software development best practices. Depth in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: distributed high volume transactional systems, API and Service Management, Device and Service Instrumentation, Systems engineering, Linux operating systems, security and/or networking. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers is required. We expect engineers to work closely with peer and dependency teams within Networking and the larger Frontier Networking community, to deliver the right solutions for our customers.
