**Job Summary (30 words):** We seek a skilled software engineer to join our Network Availability Engineering team, responsible for designing and implementing scalable network monitoring systems. AWS operates one of the world's largest and most highly available networks, which continues to grow in response to customer demand. Our network is critical to many mission-critical workloads, and Network Availability Engineering (NAE) is responsible for preventing, predicting, detecting, and remediating impairments across our network. Our software development team is responsible for Active Monitoring of Amazon's global network, generating synthetic traffic to simulate customer traffic and detect faults throughout the network. This is a critical component in ensuring the availability of Amazon's global Network. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and implement scalable network monitoring systems * Develop and maintain complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers * Collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles * Work closely with customers to design solutions to their problems * Automate and innovate processes * Choose the best tool for the problem at hand * Believe that the craft of software engineering is about writing code right the first time * Launch, own, and support products **About the Team:** AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
