Software Development Engineer - Simple Email Service
Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join its Simple Email Service (SES) team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable email services that meet the needs of Amazon's global customer base.
About the Role
- Design and develop large-scale web and distributed systems
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems
- Collaborate with other engineers to solve complex technical challenges
- Ensure high availability and scalability of email services
About the Team
The SES team is responsible for creating richer, more engaging email functionalities and innovating at every step to provide a seamless, unified experience. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with customers and other technology leaders at Amazon to translate strategic business needs into features and projects.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in professional software development
- 3+ years of experience with a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in designing and building fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Knowledge of large-scale web and distributed systems
