Software Development Engineer in Test role requires expertise in automation testing, Java development, and database testing to ensure software quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Design, implement, and execute test plans to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Work closely with developers to understand code changes and perform code reviews.
- Utilize expertise in Java development to contribute to the automation of test cases.
- Write automation scripts to trigger batch processing data and verify entries in databases.
- Document test cases, test results, and defects to facilitate communication and issue resolution.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, providing valuable input during sprint planning and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java development with a focus on test automation.
- Experience with both manual and automation testing with a strong knowledge of SQL for Database testing.
- Familiarity with Kafka and Open Shift technologies is highly desirable.
