Software Development Engineer
Amazon's TimeHub organisation is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to build large-scale intelligent products and services using native AWS components.
TimeHub's mission is to create world-class time and pay systems that are intuitive and friction-free for all users, enabling management of time and pay with close to zero defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in identifying and solving ambiguous problems
- Own and heavily influence the architecture and design
- Write a significant portion of the "critical-path" code
- Solve problems at Amazon scale, using highly scalable AWS technologies
Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize well and communicate clearly
- Consistent track record of delivering large scale solutions
- Experience with full software development life cycle
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
A Day in the Life:
- Designing, implementing, and testing software solutions using native AWS technologies
- Collaborating with product managers and customers to manage requirements
- Partnering with internal customers to translate complex business logic into reusable and scalable code
- Coaching and mentoring junior engineers on the team
