The Role & The Team: At Druva we are committed to building unique highly scalable next-gen software using the latest technologies and services from AWS. Our Druva resiliency cloud is built using serverless technology on Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora DB, and S3 and utilizes or integrates with 20 other AWS services. The emphasis is on scale. We provide Petabyte level storage solutions for some of the largest companies in the world, including many top fortune 50 companies, with industry-leading performance all through a SaaS-enabled suite of products. We are looking for a Software Engineer in Generative AI, with Python being the prominent experience requirement for the role. As a GenAI Developer, you will leverage cutting-edge public models, such as Anthropic Claude on Amazon Bedrock, to deliver significant business value. Your primary responsibilities will include integrating and fine-tuning these models to meet specific business needs, developing applications that utilize generative AI capabilities, and ensuring seamless deployment and scaling of these solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven enhancements, stay updated on the latest AI tools and trends, and ensure the ethical use of AI technologies. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing AI performance and driving innovative solutions that transform our business operations and customer experiences. Ideally, the right candidate will focus on software delivery best practices through the Agile methodology. What You Will Do: Develop software modules for various parts of the system Contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge solutions Write design documents and propose design solutions Understand and maintain existing code-base, add features, fix bugs, re-factor existing code Solve challenging technical problems Create real-time Generative AI microservices designed to handle production requests, ensuring consistent and accurate responses Collaborate with team members and cross-functional product teams Write well-designed, efficient, testable code Have a strong knowledge of data structures Demonstrate strong understanding of software engineering processes such as agile methodologies, code-reviews, writing functional specifications Exhibit a good understanding of development tools such as version control, effort management and ticketing and compiling and generating builds Seek help and advice from others when stuck to resolve existing issues at the earliest Gather and understand requirements and break them down Provide technical mentorship to team members Demonstrate a strong passion to learn Possess excellent interpersonal skills including communication and assertiveness Estimate work assigned to self What We Are Looking For: Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience with recognized and applicable industry certifications Working knowledge of Generative AI Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a software engineer Proficiency with Python Experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS, Azure) Experience in microservice development Understanding of accessibility and security compliance User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git AWS Accreditation a plus Experience with Generative AI providers like AWS Bedrock and libraries like LangChain or LLamaIndex a plus Understanding of prompt engineering Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in software engineering, including new technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices Additional Information: You will be required to be in the Letterkenny office 3 days a week, so will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
