As aSoftware Engineer III - Android, youll work on either iOS, Android, or Web-based client software for our SiriusXM and Pandora products. As a member of our Client Software Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to improve the Pandora and SiriusXM experiences for the millions of customers we serve. You will get the chance to take on complex and interesting problems as part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team. What Youll Do Develop innovative enhancements and new features for our existing Pandora and SiriusXM applications or websites Facilitate the troubleshooting of pre- and post-production issues, working closely with the development team Participate in code reviews as part of a much larger team Be familiar with the overall software stack and the software components of the applications and websites we build, and always be looking for ways to improve Participate in your teams software development coding standards, code review, and all documentation as it applies to the software development of the platforms you work on Participate in the Agile development process for client development Keep fully aware of the industry evolution, new technologies, and evolution of client applications or web frameworks What Youll Need Collaborative mindset: You love engaging in code reviews and technical discussions, working seamlessly with your team. Strong communication skills: Youre able to clearly convey your ideas and collaborate effectively. Growth-oriented: Youre eager to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. Experience: You have 4+ years of developing client software, either forAndroid-based platforms. For Android: Experience implementing native apps for Android using the latest Android features and technologies including Android Studio. Experience with Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, and other Google Android frameworks Nice to have experience with Hilt and media3. Experience with MVVM and other modern design patterns Nice to have: interest in modern open-source Android projects like Coil and okhttp. Experience with CI/CD environments like GitHub Actions and Gradle.
