Job Description
As a Software Development Engineer – Connectivity, you will work with an experienced team to design innovative consumer products. Your ownership will span across application, device framework, and connectivity stack. You will work on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and network stacks like TCP/IP and BLE Mesh. Your responsibilities will include creating a Connectivity stack SDK, driving system engineering efforts, and preparing technical requirements. The Ring Connectivity team is responsible for the connectivity related user experience and use cases across Ring portfolio. In this role, you will also work closely with product management, hardware, and quality assurance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and productize Connectivity stack SDK that includes L2 and L3 protocols for Linux and RTOS
- Drive system engineering efforts to achieve best-in-class Wi-Fi performance, power consumption, and stability
- Prepare technical requirements and software design specifications
- Investigate, prototype, and deliver new and innovative connectivity solutions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Proven track record with embedded Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE and TCP/IP Networking software
