Job Summary:
As a Software Development Engineer – Connectivity, you will work with a cross-disciplinary team to design and develop innovative consumer products. Your expertise in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and TCP/IP protocols will enable connectivity solutions across Ring devices, including doorbells, cameras, and IoT smart home security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and productize Connectivity stack SDK for Linux and RTOS
- Drive system engineering efforts for best-in-class Wi-Fi performance, power consumption, and stability
- Develop software solutions for Wi-Fi components and investigate new connectivity solutions
- Prepare technical requirements and software design specifications
- Collaborate with product management, hardware, operations, and quality assurance teams
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
- Experience with software programming languages, Linux kernel, and Wi-Fi drivers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
