Job Description

We are seeking a talented and skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Tralee, Co. Kerry. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in programming, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for technology. This role involves working on various software development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall success of our technology solutions. Responsibilities may include, but are not restricted to: Write, test, and maintain secure high-quality code for various software applications. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Design, develop, and unit test code to high standards within a team. Collaborate closely with team members, including developers, QA personnel, and project managers, to deliver robust software solutions on budget and within SLA. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices. Diagnose and resolve software defects and technical issues. Provide accurate project estimates. Work effectively within the team using Agile methodology. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly at all levels. Create and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications and user guides. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance skills and improve software quality. Requirements: Professional experience using Angular (essential), ASP.NET, Bootstrap, Single Page Applications, Service UIs. Strong SQL Server experience, with expertise in writing efficient, optimized database queries. Strong experience using HTML with JQuery, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, CSS, XML, XLST, and JSON. Familiar with .NET Web API / REST APIs. Experienced with Agile and SDLC methodologies. Experience with Jira for project management and project tracking. DevOps experience, DevOps culture, Continuous Delivery. Familiarity with Git and other version control applications. SOA / Microservice architectures & patterns, AWS. Excellent communication skills, coupled with a creative and imaginative approach to problem-solving. Experience managing multiple applications and projects simultaneously, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and third-party vendors across various locations. Experience in application support, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 4 Visa. Place of Work: Tralee Office, Castlemaine Road, Co Kerry with hybrid work option available after 6 months.
