Job Description
Arista Networks seeks a skilled Linux Kernel and BIOS software engineer to join its Dublin team, responsible for integrating the latest Linux Kernel developments and CPU subsystems into its products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate the latest Linux Kernel developments into Arista's internal use and EOS base
- Extend and develop new kernel features related to functionality relied upon
- Work with the kernel community to get features integrated upstream
- Bring up and qualify CPU components into hardware products
- Evaluate new CPUs and work with CPU/BIOS vendors to integrate their stacks into EOS
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in C or C++ and Python
- Hands-on experience working on Linux Kernel software is a plus
- Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems is a plus
- Applied understanding of software engineering principles
- Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills
- Ability to design a solution and implement it successfully
