Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversitySoftware Engineer ManagerWe are an opportunity for a Software Engineer Manager to join us at Honeywell, in Dublin, where you will be responsible for managing 2 Honeywell Forge development scrum teams. You will ownership of core components of the Honeywell Forge IOT platform that’s runs in both public and private clouds using a micro-services based architecture. You will ensure features are delivered on time, on budget and according to requirements within a scaled agile framework. This is a hybrid role, 3 + 2 days model for office and home working.HCEHoneywell Connected Enterprise develops software that securely unites OT and IT data to make better decisions and improve operational performance. We are committed to the highest standard in everything we do!Key requirements·Engineering and Technology Leader for HCE Forge development teams.·Work closely with product management and architects to help develop epics and features for the platform roadmap.·Work closely with engineering leadership to calculate engineering capacity and costs to build platform roadmap.·Provide technical leadership and oversight in the development and implementation of engineering best practices.·Improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of the platform while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.·Coach and train team members in engineering best practices with particular focus on agile best practices.·Research new technologies to enhance Honeywell’s competitive position and profitability and formulate research and development programs to implement them.·Have an “Automate Everything” mindset to support scalable growth.·Estimate workloads, make PI commitments and meet delivery dates and quality requirements while reporting progress to management.Key skills and qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical fieldOR equivalent experience ·Previous experience managing and leading backend and frontend development teams in an agile environment ·Previous experience with micro-services and cloud native product development and have a good understanding of Kubernetes orchestration on Azure or AWS ·Experience using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) ·Programming experience in C#, Java, or C++ with solid engineering practices ·Solid experience with REST API development and exposure to React development. ·Shift left approach with solid experience managing QA automation as part of the CI/CD pipeline Our offer ·A culture that fosters inclusion, diversity, and innovation in an international work environment ·Market specific training and ongoing personal development.
