You'll have the opportunity to join our team of industry-leading experts, working collaboratively to develop and support mission-critical services and solutions. Your initiative and expertise are crucial in creating innovative experiences for the dedicated individuals who ensure our communities' safety.Your responsibilities will include:Hiring and building a team of talented engineers within the organization.Mentoring and fostering career growth for individuals on your team.Working closely with key stakeholders across different geographic locations to drive the overall goals of the RF Site organization and deliver software solutions on schedule and with high quality.Building a culture of continuous improvement to drive quality, efficiency, and productivity.Leading and fostering a culture of innovation, and initiating activities such as IP Sprees and hackathons within the organization.Basic RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering.Significant professional experience in leading people and teams.A successful track record of developing high-performing software teams through hiring, retaining, and mentoring team members.Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.Strong understanding of the software development process and toolchain, including development environments, version control, testing, cybersecurity, and Agile development processes.Strong familiarity with C/C++ and object-oriented development.Strong familiarity with Linux and containerized applications.Desired Skills:Understanding of real-time processing in an embedded environment.Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker and Podman.Experience with Git, Jira, and RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux).Experience managing large software projects.Experience working with large, geographically distributed teams.Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools.Note: This position requires the employee to work from office initially for a period of time and hybrid (work from office 2-3 days per week or as required by the business) afterwards.Travel RequirementsNoneRelocation ProvidedNonePosition TypeExperiencedReferral Payment PlanYesCompanyMotorola Solutions UK Limited, Ireland BranchEEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
