Job Description

Manage a team of engineers working on Network Control Service (NCS) Optionality, prioritize work, and ensure incremental progress despite challenging problems.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally, manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, and contribute to product strategy.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, integrating, and testing features for B4 availability, scaling, and NPIs, as well as debugging and root cause analysis in a highly integrated B4 ecosystem.

Google's WAN Core team designs, builds, and operates the company's massive global private WAN network, B4, which carries most of Google's inter-data center traffic.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of experience with software development (C++), and 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field, experience with Software-Defined Networking, Networking Protocols, and Integration Testing, and knowledge of Go.
