Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Manager to lead a team of Software Engineers in the Website Platform group, responsible for modernizing and evolving Squarespace's primary product offering.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience shipping web applications across large codebases, 2+ years of experience managing a Product engineering team, and strong technical foundations to navigate product engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring a diverse team of experienced Software Engineers, assuming an active role in the career development of direct reports, exercising technical expertise in reviewing projects and initiatives, and participating in system design and architecture discussions.

The successful candidate will be a manager who prioritizes an inclusive culture of psychological safety and technical rigor, and can lead by example, including writing and reviewing code.
