Join a Leading Public Sector Body as Solicitor/ Inhouse Legal Counsel 13-Month Contract, Competitive Salary of €72,511 Our client, a forward-thinking public sector organization, is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join their Dublin 2 team on a 13-month hybrid contract. Position: Solicitor/ Inhouse Legal Counsel Location: Cork (Hybrid) Contract Duration: 13 months Salary: €72,511 Key Responsibilities Legal Support: Assist Senior Legal Counsel in managing a varied caseload effectively. Advisory Role: Provide high-quality, user-friendly legal and regulatory advice on the organizations statutory functions. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (e.g., collaboration, R&D, service agreements, NDAs, and EU contracts). Grant and Procurement Review: Analyse grant agreements and procurement contracts. Operational Legal Advice: Offer guidance on the organizations general functions and program schemes, and handle complaints. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks in line with strategic goals. Data Protection Support: Advise the Data Protection Officer and Information Compliance Office. Litigation Assistance: Support litigation matters by briefing Counsel and instructing external advisors as needed. Essential Requirements Legal Qualification: Admitted to the Bar and on the Roll of Practising Barristers (LSRA) or enrolled as a solicitor in the State. Experience: Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in public, administrative, regulatory, commercial, or corporate law. Advisory Expertise: Proven advisory experience in administrative and public law, commercial, or corporate law. Case Management: Demonstrated ability to manage diverse caseloads and meet deadlines. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, including report writing proficiency. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written and oral). Desirable Skills Public Sector Insight: Knowledge of the public service governance and regulatory landscape. Legislative Knowledge: Familiarity with Irish legislation and European law.
