Job Description
Arista Networks seeks high-caliber Solution test engineers to ensure the quality of its products through system test type testing of large, complex, and feature-rich end-to-end environments. Key responsibilities include researching technologies, exercising feature interaction, and troubleshooting failures. The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies, layer-2/3-switch administration, and Linux tools. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research and develop test plans to ensure product quality
* Collaborate with development, sales, and other test teams to understand requirements and expectations
* Plan and execute exhaustive test plans, focusing on realistic use cases, scale, and performance
* Troubleshoot failures and performance shortcomings, working with the development team to reproduce, root cause, and fix issues
* Communicate and present results to stakeholders, providing feedback and recommendations on design and performance improvements
Desired Qualifications:
* Master's degree in telecommunications, computer engineering, or computer networking
* 3+ years of experience in system test or solution test roles, handling complex end-to-end environments
* Strong working knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies, layer-2/3-switch administration, and Linux tools
* Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or TCL
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to operate with a high degree of independence, driven by an internal desire to succeed at the challenge of breaking products
